2 Eastern Reserve Brigade 2 Eastern Reserve Brigade is affiliated with the 2 Eastern Brigade of the Permanent Defence Force. In this capacity it may be called upon to provide support in security and administrative roles in the counties of Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Monaghan, Meath and Wicklow. 2 Eastern Reserve Brigade regularly conducts combined training, recently completing an all arms batallion level offensive exercise where all of the brigade units shown below were involved. 2 Eastern Reserve Brigade is an all arms Brigade consisting of combat, combat support and combat service support elements. Such elements include units of Infantry, Artillery, Cavalry, Engineers, Communications, Military Police, Engineers and Logistics. These units are spread throughout the Brigades' designated area of territorial responsibility. The Brigade Headquarters is located in Cathal Brugha Barracks, Dublin.
