Do you advise young people on their career options? |
62 Reserve Artillery Regiment is built upon a proud tradition of military service within the Kildare / Offaly and North Dublin areas. Over the years many past pupils from schools in these counties have served with us with distinction and have benefited from the training and opportunities we provide.
-
For many of our younger members, joining the Army Reserve provides them with their first experience of responsibility, both to themselves and others. Army Reserve training is designed to be realistic and meaningful, develops the individual, and builds confidence and leadership skills.
-
It puts people in positions of authority and demands that they make a commitment. It also provides them with a stable environment where their contribution is valued and their diversity respected. Membership of the Army Reserve is highly beneficial for those intent on pursuing a career in the Permanent Defence Forces.
"One aspect of the personnel who serve in 62 Reserve Artillery Regiment, which we are very proud of, is: Not one of our members has ever failed the Defence Forces Compulsory Random Drugs Test. 62 Reserve Artillery Regiment was tested as recently as July 2007."
To request a school / college / youth club visit by one of our personnel, please request it here . We will call you shortly to answer your questions and arrange a visit if appropriate. Typically these visits take about half an hour and entail a short presentation on the Army Reserve and our Unit and its role in the Defence Forces, followed by a questions and answers session.
